COVID-19 Precautions:
Patient’s safety is our #1 priority, and it starts with comprehensive cleaning and sterilization in all the areas of our office.

Even before the pandemic, Dr. Dena (San Diego Premier Dental Group) had stringent protocols in place for cleaning and disinfecting our office, but now we’ve added more. Our regular infection control and sterilization practices have always exceeded the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). Dr. Dena (San Diego Premier Dental Group) has taken the steps needed to meet and exceed safety protocols in order to keep our patients and staff safe.

What To Expect At Your Next Dental Appointment:

  • Prescreening patients for respiratory illness. Any patient with suspected COVID-19 symptoms will be rescheduled.

  • Touchless temperature screening and checking that no respiratory illness is experienced before entering the office.

  • Everyone entering our practice will be asked to wear state-mandated face masks.

  • Hand sanitizer and gloves will be available for patients before and after appointments.

  • Aerosol control: Each Operatory has an Air purifier and an Extraoral Dental Suction system which removes the droplets and aerosols providing clean air.

  • All patients will be asked to rinse with an antimicrobial mouthwash before treatment.

  • Dr. Dena and staff wear required face masks and face shields while treating patients.

  • Disinfecting all areas (clipboards, counters, light switches, and other frequently touched surfaces) of the office between patients.

  • Social distancing techniques, including chairs at least six feet apart in our waiting room.

  • Allowing the minimum number of patients in the office at any one time.

  • Reserving more time per appointment to allow time for updated infection control regulations.

  • Plexiglass shield is used in areas where patients interact with staff for making appointments.

  • Our office has also upgraded its HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) with new advanced filters.
